Judging Online Profiles

Evaluating potential online mates by photos can be stressful. Despite many photos, I scrutinize details like facial features or body type for subtle clues. Looks matter; if she’s interesting enough to meet, she should be attractive to me. Early online dating had few photos, but now profiles should have at least three: a clear face shot and a body shot. Lack of photos or hesitation to share more is a red flag.

Beware of Old or Missing Photos

Old photos can be deceptive—look for inconsistencies like a younger-looking body or dated backgrounds. If the profile lacks a body shot or the available photos contradict stated body types, be cautious. Honesty matters in presenting oneself. If photos don’t match descriptions, it’s best to move on rather than get stuck with surprises later. Transparency builds trust; missing or misleading photos hint at problems ahead.

Too Good to Be True

Some profiles feature overly glamorous, professional-looking photos that may indicate spammers or scammers. These can lead to persistent unwanted contact, like emails directing to webcam services. Be wary of profiles that look like magazine spreads—it’s often a sign of fake or non-genuine users. Trust initial impressions; if it feels too polished or staged, it probably is. Protect your time and energy by avoiding these profiles.

Watch Out for Angles

Photos taken from flattering angles can hide true appearances. Avoid profiles without a straight-on face shot or those repeating the same pose across multiple pictures. Such tactics suggest concealment. If the only images are angled or selective, it’s a warning sign. Look for authentic, varied photos to get a real sense of her appearance, helping you make better decisions before transitioning from online to real-life meetings.
